Tampa, Fla. – The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is seeking nominations for the 2010 AAKP Medal of Excellence Award
“There is a large number of renal physicians in the United States doing great work on behalf of kidney patients”, stated AAKP President Roberta Wager, RN, MSN. “We want to recognize these individuals and thank them for their tireless efforts in making the physical, emotional and social impact of living with kidney disease a little easier.”
Award nominees must show he/she has participated in the development of educational programs designed to enhance the patient/family understanding of renal disease. Nominees must demonstrate how their current or past research/activities have made a significant change to the way patient care is administered, and participation in educational programs including, but not limited to local and national teleconferences, seminars and conventions. AAKP is the voluntary, patient organization, which for 40 years, has been dedicated to improving the lives of fellow kidney patients and their families by helping them deal with the physical, emotional and social impact of kidney disease.
